I have Asperger's, and a tomboy too. I am good at acting and can act almost any character. I have been playing with the idea of starting to act in movies for a long time, but these days I have been thinking about it seriously. Any aspie actors or actresses out there? Preferably those involved with films. :)

Yeah, I think film would be the better medium. I think if you're good at it, you should go for it.

I have written a screenplay if you want to read it. {Actually two...}

If you think you'll be good at it, go for it and always try your best.

Do you attend a drama class? If so, what have your teachers said about your performances?

I'm an actor, but in community theatre. My natural ability to memorize lines and my off-beat sense of humor have made me pretty good at it, too...but I'm not sure how I would do in film. Drama is especially difficult, because I don't naturally express a lot of emotions; I'm better at comedy.

Ask me anything you want, and I'll try to be helpful :)

Well, they know best. I'd go with that and say, 'Why not give it a go'.

My daughter loves to act too. She used to attend drama lessons, but the format wasn't particularly suited to her needs. So, now she attends an opera class, for kids. There she gets singing, acting, stage and costume design and Italian, all in a manner that's suitable for a very unique 6yr old.

I acted during high school and have a couple times since. I think Apies have a easier time acting because we try to act normal every day :D . I now do a lot of voice acting (mostly for random videos I write).

That's a very interesting way of looking at it. It makes a lot of sense. ^^

It's sort of like changing into a new outfit for me when I act or do standup( yes, I do stand ups for my classmates :wink: ) I just fit into the new character very easily. But I heard that Asians have it pretty rough in Hollywood. Plus the fact that I am...math and science gifted. I don't think Caltech and Hollywood gets along that well...

So you're smart, attractive, female, and Asian ... have you given thought to being a "Weather Girl" on the six o'clock news?
