I would have loved to see them do a movie of "Where The Wild Things Are":

But the one out now is good, too.

Personally, I think Disney should try more original ideas, but that doesn't necessarily mean another one based off of a classic tale would be bad. If they did another, I think the BFG (Big Friendly Giant) would be a good one, or Hansel and Gretel.

I've read that Disney and Tim Burton did a live-action TV special on "Hansel and Gretel" that was shown once on Disney Channel back in 1983, and so far, no video recordings of it have been discovered. Also, I like to see Disney do their own takes of "Thumbelina", "Sinbad", "The Trumpet of the Swan", any of Mark Twain's stories, and some more original ideas of their own, too.

Huh. That's interesting.

Thumbelina, Sinbad, and The Trumpet of the Swan animated movies were made too recently. In my opinion, even if Disney did do their own take on those stories, they'd be way too similar to the previous adaptations.

Speaking of Disney, did you get a chance to see The Princess and the Frog yet? I didn't.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. Don Bluth, Dreamworks, and Richard Rich did those first 3 I mentioned.

Unfortunately, no. :(

It's never gonna happen, but I always thought it'd be hilarious if they did Dante Alighieri's The Divine Comedy, just to see how Disney would make it and to see how many families would be outraged by it.

That or John Milton's Paradise Lost.

It would be cool if they did Little Suck-A-Thumb. I don't think that they will though, cause he gets his thumbs chopped off.

I nominate The Brother's Grimms' "How Three Children Played at Slaughter" and every Native American folk tale about Coyote getting laid. "Teeth in the Wrong Places" would be a killer Disney movie. Killer.

Disney should do a semi-porno feature of Esmirelda (Hunchback of Notre Dame) and Mulan getting it on. Throw in Pocahantis for a manage a trois.

I say nothing unless it, in it's original release ended happily or ungrusomely. The totally bastardized the Grimm fairytales and The Little Mermaid by giving them happy endings to make them "kid friendly". And I'm sure the real version of Beauty and the beast didn't end with Belle realizing she was a judgemental fool and seeing the beast for his inner beauty. Disney shuldn't be allowed to touch fairytales, especially ones, like Cinderella, that had particularly grusome outcomes 'cause it just ruins the fairytale for anyone who hasn't read the REAL version.

Maybe they could do films from The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Those were some pretty interesting ones.

There is a anime adaptation going on, not really kid friendly...

Yeah, but that doesn't count IMO since it's meant to be a tie-in to the videogame, which doesn't really have that much to do with the original stories aside from the names.
