Has anybody seen the episode Dewey's Special Class. It reminded me of our problems as he gets placed in a class where alot of the kids seem to be aspies or auties and certianly werent stupid but got handled insted of taught (like many auties especcially are.) And anyway in the end Dewey leads a revolution to steal the smart kids stuff so they can get taught too. I dont know why I shared this just reminded me of our horrible situation.

I agree that Dewey is, Malcom, I'm not sure. Yes, he has lightning calculation, but his social skills seem to be pretty good. Dewey has always been the oddball, even when he was very young, and in an episode I saw recently, he composed an opera.

I think malcolm might be ghost AS. He certainly talks to himself a good deal.

Great show. I need to watch it more often, but it clashes w/ my schedule.

If I recall correctly, Eric Per Sullivan (who plays Dewey) actually is an Aspie.

I remember when Dewey was writing an opera based on his family. I reckon Dewey is aspie and a little bit savant.

Actually I reckon the whole shows aspects of AS, especially Dewey and Malcolm.

I used to watch "Malcolm in the Middle" a lot, but then got fed up with seeing how abusing Lois (the mother) is to the rest of the family. As a result, I completely stopped watching.

Malcolm is borderline or sub-clinical AS, Reese (sp?) is borderline ADHD and Dewey is definitely ADHD and possibly AS as well IMO.

Their mother's arguably got some ADHD traits as well...
