I love spongebob. I've liked him since highschool too. I work in a restaurant myself. Sometimes I feel like I can comedically relate to his life. I have two pet cats, I don't have my license. I genuinely love preparing food at my work. I work with a guy my age I've made fun of him for fitting the spongebob profile too. He lives in an apartment by himself with his cat no girlfriend the only difference is that he can drive and I can't.

I like the older episodes best. After the movie came out, it hasn't been the same. I don't like the new animation, and it's like the writers come straight from the loony bin. The humour used to be lighthearted and silly, but it's so dark now. What happened?

I have to agree one or two episodes after the movie are OK but damn I was so excited, only to walk out of the movie theater feeling like sponge bob was just murdered in front of me. All the episodes before the movie are awesomely classic.

I like it, but my nephew thinks that it's for boys. He doesn't mind that it's for kids and I'm not a kid.

I've been watching it since the 1st episode!! ! Still love it to this day :) But now a days, my boyfriend and I like to make fun of the newer episodes because I noticed they're kind of questionable. There's a ton of inapproprite jokes on there. Hmm... that's probably why my boyfriend and I still watch it haha

Also a big SpongeBob lover here, though I haven't been keeping up from the fourth season onward. I sometimes catch a stray new episode, and whenever I do, I don't think they're all that baqd at all. There was one where SongeBob and Patrick stay in a toy store after closing hours, and another where SpongeBob tries to divide his responsibilities between assisting Sandy at a demonstration of an invention of hers, attending Patrick's birthday, and helping Mr. Krabs... do... something... I don't remember now. Too lazy to Google, too.

Anyway, this thread also reminds me of the WP poster SpongeBobRocksMao. Whatever happened to him?
