Did anyone go see this movie? What did you think of it?

I didn't see anything different really because nothing was added to it. I could watch the movie without the glasses but I kept them on anyway but I kept taking them off to see the difference. I am going to stick with the movie at home.

I want to go see this movie only because it is in 3D.

I don't like 3d films, I see that film in 2d thanks
James Cameron is only cashing on the centenary commemorations of the RMS Titanic, my home town of Liverpool is putting on a few commemorations and most of then are free of charge, no need to waste my money seeing that film in 3d now!

True plus they charge you for the 3D glasses at any movie theater and they expect you to hand them back after the movie is over. And they will not allow you to bring youir own.

I don't see the point in these movies when nothing has been added but the 3D effect. Seems to be a recent method by movie studios to make box office money twice over for the same movie. Phantom Menace and The Lion King are 2 other recent one's that come to mind. Sadly 3D has become a gimmick for me as most new movies have a 3D alternative, which in most cases is poor uses of it.

I went to see Titanic in 3D last Thursday with a friend. Like League_Girl said, I took the glasses off at various points to see if I could spot any difference (which I hardly could), especially since this was my first time seeing a movie in theaters in 3D. Also, the 3D didn't seem to add much to the movie. Still, it was an enjoyable movie experience for me.

I have no desire to see it, especially in 3D. The glasses giving me headaches is bad enough, but to have them on for a film that's over 3 HOURS?!? No thank you! I don't care if it was LOTR in 3D and not Titanic, 3 hours is WAY too long to endure a 3D film.

And all of that's before my personal feelings toward Titanic is taken into account. Basically, it was like dangling keys in front of a baby: pointless, overrated entertainment with good visuals and a very narrow demographic appeal.

Did they convert the 2D acting and writing to 3D, or just the visuals?
