I was looking forward to seeing it until it seemed that apparently it's only in 3D and IMAX 3D. Anyone have an idea what provoked that issue? Just the thought of seeing a movie, especially like that one, in an extreme dimension for the first time makes me wince. Help.

That's a let down. 3D is maybe fun to see once or twice, but the quality of the film really diminishes.

I ended up seeing my first 3d movie "The Avengers" by accident. I was so dissapointed I went to see the "normal" version later that day. 3d is very distracting and I don't think it really adds enough to a movie to make it worth the extra money.

Probably to make more money as the 3D screenings are more expensive. I like 3D on the rare occasion, but not for every single movie that comes out. It has become too gimmicky for me now. Plus most movies don't use the 3D correctly, and it tends to mess with my eyes after about 20 minutes 8O

I have found that I like movies that are made in 3D in 2d. For example avatar (I know the story sucks and is a remake of pocahantas, but its purty) I like the 2d version a lot more.

Wow, that's messed up. I'm probably going to wait for it to come out on DVD ithen. I was watching Avatar on TV last week and noticed that I missed a lot of the visuals when I saw it in the theater.

Or a dumbed down version of Princess Mononoke.

I agree too.

MIB 3 is playing at my neighborhood theater in 2D and that's where I intend on seeing it.

@ the OP: Maybe try checking at your nearest theater for times that MIB 3 is playing in 2D.

Maybe it's a ploy to sell more headache meds.

Maybe so.

Maybe it's also a ploy to get rid of extra, unused barf bags
you sometimes see on airplanes.

I saw MIB 3 on Sunday and not on 3D so they have it in both versions. For anyone who saw it, is that Will Smith rapping during the end credits?

No, it isn't.
