I wasn't sure whether to put this in this forum or in the random discussion. I'm sure plenty of us have gone to see a movie where a person can be quite annoying to us. Has anyone sat in the row in front of a person who is laughing so loud that you just turn over your shoulder and want to say something? The movie doesn't have to be a comedy.

This thread reminds of the movie theater scene from "Cape Fear". By the way I always go to the movies after its been out for around two weeks, and I go in the early afternoon when it's less busy. That way I can get the best seats in the rear/center of the theater.

Yes and that's why I sit in the back row, so I'm not surrounded by as many people.

I have a fairly good strategy. It might be viewed poorly by some, but it depends on your point of view. What I do is sit in the reserved seats for people accompanying those in wheelchairs. Since I go during the morning when it's usually not crowded to begin with, there's hardly an issue. But once in a crowded theater, someone did question as to whether or not I needed that seat. I simply told them the truth that I have Aspergers and they didn't bother me again.

I know some may view it as opportunistic by using my AS as an excuse. I prefer to see it as being honest. I do have that condition and I'd rather leave the movie after I've paid than be packed in with a crowd of strangers to watch it. Note I said "watch" instead of "enjoy" since I certainly wouldn't be able to enjoy the movie surrounded by a crowd of strangers.

I rarely see movies in the theater anymore.
For one, tickets have just plain gotten too expensive.
Also, I have a smaller than normal bladder, so I can't really go an hour and a half or more without having to pee. I got tired of running to the restroom and missing part of the movie.

Anyway most new movies these days flat out suck, and are not worth it.

Hmm, that's a pretty good idea although I think if somebody in a wheelchair actually needed the seat then I'd definitely move.

I've found that it's best to wait until the movie has been out for a few weeks and most everyone that wanted to see it already has.
That or go to the very late show and there won't be nearly as many people.
I detest crowded theaters.

I also have a bladder issue that is incurable but treatable. If I do go to movies I will sit at the end so that I can easily get up and go to bathroom. I was fine during MIB 3 and Avengers. But a movie like Lord of the Rings I wouldn't do too well.
About bad movies, I did see Ghost Rider 2 on 3D in Feb and the previews looked great and I couldn't wait to see it that I marked that day on the calendar. But wow was I so disappointed. It was the worst movie I ever saw!

I will do that when especially when Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 comes out. I can see it on a Wed at a theater near me since its $5 all day. If I go during the school year or really late at night that's better. When Spider Man comes out July 3, I'll probably see it early Aug.
