I'm bored, so I thought I would post a thread to take my mind off of it.

I would like you all to post your favorite TV moments to this thread. They could be anything at all, from game shows to soap operas to sitcoms.

I'll start.

This moment is priceless!

My favourite priceless quotes from great sitcoms.

I have many but I'll name a few:

The Simpsons

"Homer: Operator, give me the number to 911!"

"Homer: Mmmm, forbidden donut."

The Young Ones

"Rik: Why DON'T you like me??
Vyvyan: Because you're an ugly bastard."

"Rik: Pollution all around....sometimes up....sometimes down..."

"Vyvyan: If I somebody asks that question 1 more time I'm gonna smash a window through their head!

Neil?: Have We Got A Video?"

"Vyvyan: NO NO BLOODY GOOD LIFE!! ! BLOODY BLOODY BLODDY PATHETIC GOOD LIFE!! !!"

Bottom

"Richie: Eddy what on earth are you eating?
Eddy: Lard.
Richie: You're eating...lard?
Eddy: Yeah, well I'm too drunk to cook."

"Richie: How about "Pin the Tail on the Donkey"?
Eddie: We haven't got a donkey.
Richie: "Pin the Tail on the Chicken"?
Eddie: We haven't got a tail.
Richie: "Pin the Sausage on the Chicken"?
Eddie: We haven't got a pin.
Richie: "Sellotape the Sausage to the Chicken"?
Eddie: We haven't got a chicken!
Richie: "Sellotape the Sausage to the Fridge"!?
Eddie: WE HAVEN'T GOT A SAUSAGE!
Richie: "PUT A BIT OF SELLOTAPE ON THE FRIDGE"! !!?
Eddie: Not much of a game, is it?"

"Richie:: What kind of condoms do you want?
Eddie:: Rubber ones.
Richie:: No, there's ribbed, the tickler, and ultrasensitive.
Eddie:: Ripped? Who wants a ripped condom?
Richie:: Must be for people who want to get pregnant. Well I don't think ultrasensitives our style, do you? The tickler it is. Oh, what colour?
Eddie:: What have they got?
Richie:: There's black, gold, union jack and leopard skin. Which do you think's the most romantic?
Eddie:: Well union jack, obviously!
Richie:: Right, a union jack tickler it is. Oh, what flavour?
Eddie:: Flavour?
Richie:: There's chocolate, strawberry, marmite and cheese and onion.
Eddie:: Well everyone likes cheese and onion, don't they?
Richie:: Of course they do. A cheese and onion union jack tickler it is. Bagsy me first go with it.
Eddie:: ...get two.
Richie: Ooh wild man!"

I was watching cartoons one morning, when I was fourteen. I was getting sick of cartoons, so I was flicking through the channels. The channel that I've happened to stop at, had announced that The Beatles' Yellow Submarine was comming on. I've watched that whole, entire movie without a blink, and that was the best Saturday Morning that I've had, in my lifetime. :)

That is some funny dialogue right there!

I think we have a Beatles fan on this forum!

Favourite TV moments, eh?

Alternative just ran through a couple from "The Young Ones" and "Bottom"....

So here's a list, roughly in chronological order (when the shows started, rather than episodes):

"Doctor Who":

"Have you wondered what it's like to wanderers in the fourth dimension? Have you? To be exiles?" -The Doctor, "An Unearthly Child"

"How did you know [solution to riddle] in the first place?"

"Oh, I used my own, special technique."

"Oh really, Doctor, and may we know what that is?"

"Keeping my eyes open....and my mouth shut!"

-Klieg and the Doctor, "Tomb of the Cybermen"

"If you're the masters of the universe, why don't you climb up after us?"

-The Doctor taunting Daleks from a airshaft, "Destiny of the Daleks"

"In all my travelling throughout the universe I have battled against evil, against power mad conspirators. I should have stayed here. The oldest civilisation: decadent, degenerate, and rotten to the core. Power mad conspirators, Daleks, Sontarans... Cybermen, they're still in the nursery compared to us (The Time Lords). Ten million years of absolute power. That's what it takes to be really corrupt!"

-The Doctor (one of the best given to the 6th Doctor), "Trial of a Time Lord: The Ultimate Foe"

And those are just for starters.....

"Bottom":

The fight at the end of "Culture". The look on Rik Mayall's face when he gets a table upended onto his feet is priceless!

Rik Mayall's opening lines in "Smells":

"I mean what happened there? I just don't understand it. I made all the right moves: I winked, I smiled - one of my nice ones as well - I sat down very nicely, leant forward, put on my special eyes and said "Hello big tits, looking for some action?""

The scene involving the attempted revival of the Gas Man, and then the attempts to dispose of the body, in "Gas".

Many of the gags in "Terror", starting with the three kids dressed as devils (and giving Eddie a pitchfork in the crotch), the "anti-alcohol-based-hallucination" liquid ("Jif-Microliquid, where are you?"), the cattle-prod and it's effects on Richie, and "Sprouts Mexicane".

The first few scenes of "Burglary", where Eddie gets drunk on a sale of Old Spice, and Richie's method of getting a nearly comatose Eddie into bed is shown.

Plenty of others coming soon!

That would have to be when they were discussing about House having Asperger's.

Price is Right:

Around 1977, announcer Johnny Olson announced "Yolanda Bowsley, come on down!". Yolanda raced down to Contestant's Row, and her tube top came off. Because this was network TV, they had to show a big bar with the word "Oops!" to cover her boobs.

Match Game:

In 1973 or 1974, there was a contestant named Karen Lesko. Host Gene Rayburn meant to comment her on her dimples, and accidentally said she had nice nipples.

Family Guy:

Peter and Michael Moore have a farting contest.

That was a very funny moment, and for those of you who haven't seen "Match Game in the US, they call it "Blankety Blanks/Blankety Blank" in the other English-speaking countries. Here is the clip:

And believe it or not, the same thing that happened on "The Price is Right" in America in 1977 also happened in Australia in 2004. Here is that clip:

This is going to be hard, but here goes:

1. The Soup Nazi.
2. Garth & Gord & Fiona & Alice.
3. Seeing Kari Kamiya in a cheerleader uniform introduced me to masturbation. :oops:
4. Vitameatavegamin.
5. Brandon Tartikoff on Night Court.
6. Basil Fawlty doing "the funny walk".
7. The second season of American Idol, before that show went to crap.
8. Sagwa. Just thinking of that show has me smiling.
9. Ken Jennings.
10. "Mommy, mommy, that bum's in the bathroom and there's something hard in his pants!" :lol:
11. The final episode of Newhart.
12. Dave Chappelle as Rick James.
13. I guess this would count: K-9's self-sacrifice. "You bad dog!" "Affirmative."
14. Every time Billy Crystal hosted the Oscars, I'd watch.
15. Last of the Red Hot Dragons. Anybody remember this? Saw it only once on Disney Channel; sadly, I never saw it again. :cry:
16. And, in spite of everything else, watching Lost with my mom.

I've got plenty more (it's hard choosing just one Simpsons moment), but for now, that's it.
