daria was this cartoon that aired on Mtv and was replayed on alot of other networks.
its about this highschool girl whos highly intelligent probebly an aspie actually, and shes just got a very sarcastic anti socail view of humantiy, most people dont understand her point of view and the few that do are outcasts themselves.
anyone remember it?

They had Daria on ABC here in Australia during the kids shows, quite funny show, one funny thing I remember was that Daria tricked the psychologists into thinking she was insane for the thing her mother had to do for work, and when they got to the retreat a crowed of doctors were out front waiting for Daria. Or that she worried her father into thinking the only thing healthy for him to do was to drink milk for stress and such, only to find out about cholesterol from the mother.

I miss that show. I loved to watch it. I would find myself wishing I could meet a real girl like her.

Daria is a part of my video:

Autism: Conformity Hurts

I even got the title idea from her.

I'm Autistic myself and I can relate to Daria on a lot of things, some of the things she does on the show does remind me of things I would do for sure.

Examples include: Anti-Communist statements at the Coffee House (ok i've never given an Anti-Communist speech at a Coffee House even though I performed in a Coffee House before, but i've written tons of Anti-Communist stuff online repeatedly as i've been Anti-Communist since the 80s regardless of who was President of the United States at the time).

Refusing to sell candy bars to someone who shouldn't have Chocolate (sounds like something i'd do too if I were selling candy bars and found out a person wasn't suppose to have it, heck I refuse to buy cigarettes and alcohol for minors, I wouldn't buy those things for minors even if I was offered a $50 and told to keep the change).

I also would have been as upset as Daria and Jane were if my own artwork was to be hijacked with the meaning changed and so forth.

She was originally a character on Beavis and Butt-Head.

As much as a pariah Daria is supposed to be, I think most people who see the show desperately wish they could meet her- or at least take her along to parties that they didn't want to go to. :) HUGE Daria fan over here- my family is constantly quoting the show to each other. "Pizza!" "Ahh!"

Also, I always assumed that Daria was on the spectrum. C'mon. She has to be. Especially being as sensitive as she is.
