Hi my name's James and I'm still kinda new here and trying to make friends

I know cause I am still kinda new that some people may worry and think I may be a scammer or something - but I dont want anything from any1 other than just 1 thing.....And that's friendship and people who dont mind chatting with me about anything you dont mind chatting with me about - Such as if you like reading fantasy books like I do and/or like watching nice films and tv shows or any other interesting things you'd not mind chatting about

Some of my fav books that I have read on my kindle are : A Song of Ice and Fire by George rr Martin / The Thomas Covevnant Chronicles by Stephen donaldson / many books by David Eddings such as The Belgariad and The Elenium and The Tamuli / The Fionvar Tapestry by Guy Gavriel Kay (Sorry I forget exactly how his name is spelled sorry ) / plus lots of other books not just fantasy

And some of my fav films and tv series are :

I Am Legend / Shawshank Redemption / V for Vendetta / Watchmen / Stardust / Alic in Wonderland starring J Dep / The Trueman show / Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind / Prometheus / The Lord of The Rings Trillogy plus many many more

Tv Series: Fringe / Dr Who / A Game of Thrones series 1 to 2 plus any more series that are made / Heroes / Red Dwarf / Star Trek / Star Gate sg1 and Atlantis / Babylon5 / South park / Battlestar Galactica / The Big Bang Theory series 1 - 5 / True Blood / Lost / BlackAdder / plus many many more

I'm hoping that both NT and fellow AS people who would'nt mind chatting with me about lots of various things and who'd poss not mind being my friend even if it's just chatting on here via PM or via this thread topic that I have started so that I can ask any nice people who'd not mind just chatting with me from time to time ?

Hope that there will be atleast some nice people who'd not mind getting in touch just for a nice chat from time to time ?

Just hoping to find nice people that also like poss 1 of the things I like or if just dont mind chatting in general

man, Heroes. I have never seen a show start off so amazingly and fall in quality after the first season faster than it did and never recovered. But that first season was entirely excellent.

I liked I Am Legend - until the end. I'd recommend you read Mattheson's novel of the same name, which was of course the movie's inspiration. It didn't have the happy ending - but it was far more profound.

I've read all those books, but some of them a long time ago. Have you read anything by Tad Williams? He's great. Try the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn series. The quote in my signature is from the first volume.

I'd desperately love to see the Game of Thrones series but I am very poor and don't have internet or cable at home. I have to sneak online at work.

Yep I really like Doctor Who especially the new series from Christopher Eccleston to David Tennant I also like the older series such as Tom Baker / Peter Davison / Colin Baker / Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann I also like Matt Smith too

Yay for Red Dwarf I've just started watching The Big Bang Theory from series 1 up to ep8 and am slowly enjoying watching the rest of series 1 right up to series 5 Sheldon's my fav character

Hi Thanks Eelektrik for your reply yeah I fully agree with you I also really enjoyed the 1st Heroes series and thought they lost it somewhat after series 1 wish they had stuck more with Sylar's original story arc cause Sylar is my fav character including Hiro Nakamura and especially Claire Bennet

Hi Thanks Mindsigh yeah I have read Tad Williams Memory, Sorrow and Thorn book series thanks I have all 4 books and have read up to the second book but it was a while ago but am looking forward to catching up with it again sometime Yep I noticed your signature and remebered it being from the 1st book very cool

Sorry you have'nt been able to watch the Game of Thrones series 1 and 2 I wish and hope they will bring it on mainstream tv so every1 can enjoy/watch it cause I think it is so unfair that not every1 gets to watch cool series till they have been out for a very very long time I'm very lucky cause I used to not be able to get cable tv for along time but was able to get it roughly nearly 2 yrs ago - hope they put it mainstream tv so you can watch it hopefully sometime soon Is it pleas ok we chat about Game of Thrones and the other books and tv and films we both like and chat via pm off and on when it's ok pleas ? Hope this is ok cause I rarely find any1 that also like Game of Thrones ect so very very rarely ever get to chat with nice people such as yourself about all those cool shows I really enjoy both reading and watching - hope it'd be ok for us to pm each other about those cool things pleas ?

Doctor Who is amazing...I haven't seen much of the originals but have watched since 2005, 10 is my absolute favorite and Rose is my favorite companion so I love series 2 best obviously:) series 4 is probably my second favorite.

Red Dwarf is great too, I discovered it in the wee morning hours on PBS in the early 90s I believe. i still quote it all the time although I'm pretty sure i'm the only one who usually gets the references. I adore Lister. i have a friend from back then who still calls me Kochanski lol

Yeah I too really like series 2 of the new Doctor Who 1 of my fav 2 eps is the series 2 finale which has the cool Cybermen and also the very cool modern Daleks and for the 1st time they meet and battle it out Army of Ghosts and Doomsday are poss my fav Dalek and Cybermen storyline

That 1st scene where The Cyber Leader orders another Cyberman to scout and investigate and also The Very Very Cool Black Dalek Seq orders 1 of the Bronze/Gold Daleks to go investigate was just so so cool and you could see on both the Dalek Vision Holographic screen and also through The Cybermen's scouts vision and just as they both encountered each other and orderd each other to "Identify" "Identify" and that scene where the Cyberman scout offers "We Could Upgrade The Universe Together" And The Dalek responds "You Propose An Alliance?" and the look on The Doctors face of such shock and fear - poss thinking what could The Daleks and Cybermen not do if their power and technology were to combine.....They'd poss be Unstopable (Sorry I probably spelt that wrong ) But that was such a great scene and when The Cyberman scout opened fire on the much more advanced Dalek and was then very easily blown to pieces was so so cool ....Sorry started rambling

Yeah Red Dwarf is also very very cool too my fav character is The Alternate universe Arnold J Rimmer....."Smoke me A Kipper....I'll Be Back for Breakfast" ....."What A Guy"

And I really like all The Dwarfers crew Kryten/ Cat/ and Lister.....And awwww Holly too They've done and aired a new Red Dwarf Series Yay Series 10 just recently which I really enjoyed watching was very cool it would be so great if they brought back the original actress that played Kochanski atleast every now and again would be so great

I 1st saw bits and pieces of The Big Bang Theory off of the tv when I'd come across it from time to time when it happened to be on tv so even though I have'nt seen properly up to the series where Amy meets Sheldon I remember seeing them chatting together sometimes in the clips I have seen still only seen series 1 up to ep 8 but am slowly watching it every weekend when I can and am really enjoying getting to know Sheldon and Leonard and Raj plus Amy and Bernadette ect I've got recently series 1 to 5 on dvd Yay
