I haven't watched too many b&b(beavis and butthead) episodes, but i'm thinking of buying the dvd that just came out
and i really want to know if its worth the save.
or am I better off with another dvd boxset or something else with the same price?

It all depends what kind of thing you like.

My alternatives would be:

The Mighty Boosh series 2
Garth Marenghi's Dark Place
Ren & Stimpy box set

Well, I love B&BH but humour is subjective so I guess you just have to evaluate it. If you are extremely impulsive(like I am) you'll go and buy it right away :P

Depends on if you like Beavis and Butthead I guess. I remember when it was on MTV in the early 1990s and the controversy that surrounded it. Basically, some kid started a fire and said the reason he did it was because of Beavis and Butthead. The result was MTV placed it in late night airings only and edited out any references to fire in the episodes.

What I'm wondering about the release is if the episodes are these censored episodes or in their original uncut form.

Anyone know?

I love Beavis And Butthead. :)

And PrisonerSix no, I don't know the answer to your question as I started watching it about a year ago via downloading it. I'm a cheapskate. 8)

lightsounds if I were you I would rent it and if you like it, buy it for real.

Do you laugh when you hear this:

Butthead: What is the greatest nation on earth?
Beavis: Yeah, Yeah, Urination

I'm not sure how funny that is outside of the original context. The episode was one in which B&B befriend a homeless guy, who teaches them how to panhandle for spare change. And he had a really smarmy approach: "What's the best city in the world? Genero-sity! What's the best nation? Do-nation!".

And so when B&B give it a try, naturally they screw it up: "What's the best nation? Uh... Urination!"

(Me, I thought it was funny...)

Beavis and Butthead is one of the best series out there, in my humble opinion.
