I heard this on The Outer Limits show. Although there were only two episodes where it was mentioned, and nothing much was really said on it, other than that basically, people with it turned into horrible monsters, I thought it was an interesting concept. What would you say it is, or could be? I'm thinking this might be a concept I could use in my writing.
