ok, So a freind told me about a Vampire/monster themed anime. he seems to enjoy it quite alot.
all i know about it is what he told me, but right now I can't remember much other then that it's about some guy who ends up going to a monster school of some sort. anyway, I'm not sure what it's called, since it's been while since he told me the show's name.

anyone know anything else about this?
if you can help me find it or at least give me an opinoin as to wether or not it's worth watching. much thanks in advance.

I think there was another show he told me about, but I don't remember which one that was...

"Rosario + Vampire"?

I've seen it recommended, but I've never checked it out myself. None of the reviews or trailers are particularly captivating, and anime is awash with school harem romance comedies. It might be a good fit if you like teen supernatural romance stuff, but I prefer anime with a little more meat on its bones.

Every review I see of R+V, for instance, talks a great deal about how the characters are students in love and sort of monsters. It's as if their personalities are defined by what they are rather than by the choices they make. A common anime failing.

I'd watch it if a friend suggested it. Obviously, this friend thinks the show is worth watching, and wants to share the experience. If you don't like it, just say so, and stop watching. But who knows; you might actually find a new show you actually like. From personal experience, I've watched shows that I've thought were worthwhile enough to share with my friends, and feel a little put out when they aren't interested in watching.

That's true, the first episode is probably online. Give it a shot, it's only 20 minutes.

I've seen about half of the first season of Rosario+Vampire and every observation that JBlitzen made in his first post in this thread is pretty much dead-on accurate.

I'll probally watch it sometime, if I can find it. I remember watching dbz abriged after my friend told me about it. but I waited awhile becuase I always feel weird about watching something new. that, is, untill I watch it, then i usually enjoy new shows.

But I once watched an anime that was for teen girls becuase someone on devaintart told me too, again I waited awhile before watching it because I don't usaully like to watch shows I'm not used too. believe it or not but I thought that show was funny.

anyway, It's been awhile since I watched anything decent.
