This place is lacking a thread about the late, great pioneer and king of British Comedy, Benny Hill!

Just one look at him could make the millions that watched laugh, which was 21 million at his peak. Even in the final days of the program he was still getting upwards of 8 or 9 million views. The Benny Hill Show was not a weekly television series ala Two Ronnies, it was instead, was a "Television Special" Which aired but a few times each year.

Benny Hill's humour was naughty, childish, unsophisticated, and poked fun at everything and everyone.

That is what made his programmes so delightful!

Oh ... and his Hill's Angels were a delight to watch, as well ...

The Benny Hill Show was one of those things that influenced my sense of humor. I'm a middle-aged woman with the sense of humor of a 12 year old boy.
