I love the 1980s. And I love time travel, so three years ago when I found about Hot Tub Time Machine prior to SakuraCon 2010, I looked at it. And boy, was I plesantly surprised!

I know, the movie is crude, rude socially unacceptable; but it's all in the name of funny! What is it about? It's about these three friends (and one other dude) who are in their 40s and just bored and dissatisfied with their normal lives. They go to a ski resort, and find a hot tub which sends them back to 1986, and that's where the fun really begins!

:D

There's a wonderful story I read somewhere on the internet called A Walk in the Park with Mozart. It's about a U-dub professor who invents a time machine and, after successfully experimenting with plants and animals, successfully brings back his music idol, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart who was on his death bed. Of course, the time travel proves to be a bit too much for the composer so he pleads with the professor to go back.

the "once upon a time" episode of the old twilight zone was my fave time travel piece out of all.

I even came up with my own version of HTTM. :)

It was about four of my fave friends (including me) and how we go to Vancouver and back to 1986.

I liked Ski School, which was like HTTM, except without the time machine.

When I heard about it, it sounded like a stupid throwaway modern comedy. I was pleasantly surprised when I watched it. It felt like an homage to the classic '80s comedies, which I love.

I was never a big fan of 80s movies so maybe that's why I didn't like it but idk....I went into it expecting it to be mindless hilarity (I do like stuff like American Pie) but what I got just seemed bland in comparison to other recent vulgar comedies.

I had dreams where I did go back to the 1980s, so it has to do with this film!

I wasn't around in 1986, but one has to have some suspension of disbelief in my story! :D
