Skyfall is the only Bond movie I've seen

I'm a bit of a film fanatic and I love many films but there are some I never really wanted to get into for different reasons and one of those many film franchises was of course the Bond movies. A few weeks ago my sister came home from university and had Skyfall downloaded on her laptop and we watched it and honestly it was really good. Not long later I actually bought the movie on blu ray and now I think I wanna check out the other Bond movies. I was thinking of buying the 50 anniversary boxset but that might be too much for me as I've not seen anyone of them and I think I'll buy them seperately on blu ray, though I don't know if I wanna get all of them and I think I might watch them on TV first before buying one that I may end up not liking. I would really love to see Casino Royale and Quatum of Solace. What I would like to know before I start buying them is to know which Bond movies are worth watching? Which ones are good and which ones are bad? Also which actor are good Bonds and which are bad? I may end up buying some I don't watch on TV like the last 2 before Skyfall.

My own honest opinion:
Sean Connery- You can never go wrong with just about any Bond film he did and he is the best actor to play the role (not saying it because he was the first to play the character.) I say this because his films were more fun to watch, had better plots, and were just more memorable and the humour went well with his portrayal. Only bad film was Diamonds Are Forever. From Russia with Love and Goldfinger are considered by many to be the best Bond movies ever. My personal favourite was You Only Live Twice.

George Lazenby- Only did one movie: On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Pretty good acting job, but had the luck of performing in a very boring movie.

Roger Moore- Probably had the best sense of humour in all of his Bond films. However, only three of the seven movies he starred in were good films and they were Live and Let Die, The Spy Who Loved Me, and For Your Eyes Only. Some will say Moonraker was the worst Bond movie, but the worst for me was the Man with the Golden Gun. Octopussy was mediocre at best and A View to A Kill could have been a lot better considering that Christopher Walken played an excellent Bond villain.

Timothy Dalton- The only actor in the past that comes close to the gritty style that you see from Daniel Craig. However, his humour seems forced and just downright not funny. Solid acting job in my opinion and The Living Daylights was a fantastic movie. License to Kill is an acquired taste I find and I am one of the few that consider this film among their favourite Bond films.

Pierce Brosnan- Some people actually believed him to be the best Bond and I shrug and ask why. Connery was the better Bond. Brosnan's legacy will be off Goldeneye alone as it is a personal favourite of mine and many people consider this to be the best Bond film of the 80's and 90's. Brosnan followed this up with three movies that I find to be mediocre at best. The best movie after this that he did was the first half of Die Another Day

Daniel Craig- Very good acting job. Casino Royale was an excellent movie, with an excellent villain and good plot. Quantum of Solace had me asking "Wtf is this?" Skyfall was definitely better than Quantum was, but the plot had me wondering if the people that wrote that movie were insulting the intelligence of even the casual viewer (specifically during the scenes where the villain gets captured and then escapes). I do think the last movie was overrated and people give it way too much credit.
