Cliff Simon

Wikipedia wrote:
In 1997, he married his girlfriend in a game lodge in South Africa. After being personally affected by the high levels of crime in Johannesburg, he decided to immigrate to the USA, hoping for a better quality of life. This also gave him the opportunity to further his acting career.

Arriving in 2000 in Los Angeles, Simon secured an agent, and landed a guest star role with Don Johnson on the hit TV series, Nash Bridges. A short time after that, he acquired the guest star role of Ba'al on Stargate SG-1. Cliff's combination of charming bad guy charisma and wicked sense of humor made him a viewer favorite antagonist, keeping his character recurring for five seasons. In 2008, Simon was brought back to play Ba'al in the Stargate movie Stargate: Continuum.

Cliff Simon as "Ba'al"

He can play the cool, arrogant, intellectual villain as well as or better than anyone, AND he can ride, surf, use a firearm, and engage in hand-to-hand combat without a stunt double!

Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, or George Lazenby.

Now that would be hilarious...

Fun fact: there exists a popular fan theory in which the name "James Bond" is just an alias given to those who hold the 007 title. It would explain why the Judi Dench version of M lasted so long.

Edward Norton or Kevin Spacey. Mostly Spacey, I mean just look at the guy's face.

I'm glad no-one's mentioned Johnny Depp in this poll. Whenever someone mentions a part someone could play there is always one guy who mentions Depp. Yeah he's one of the finest actors out there but he can't play EVERYTHING.

I agree. Johnny Depp would be a terrible Bond villain.

Kevin Spacey was the best thing about Superman Returns. He made a good Lex Luthor and would work well as a Bond villain as well. And of course one can't forget how awesome The Usual Suspects and L.A. Confidential were. Hes just a great actor all around.

1.} Benedict Cumberbatch

He was the best thing about Star Trek Into Darkness and could work well as a Bond villain. I don't know if this is true or not, but Cumberbatch was considered to take over for Pierce Brosnan before Daniel Craig was eventually cast. However, Cumberbatch was committed to filming the BBC Sherlock Holmes series.

2.} Steve Carell

Not sure if he was joking, but in an interview Steve Carell mentions that his ideal role is to play a Bond villain.
