Amazon and Netflix are making thier own TV shows now...

Amazon has released a pilot for "Zombieland."

Netflix has "House of Cards" and "Hemlock Grove."

I think HOC has been well received. I have avoided it because it is just the sort of thing that might cause me to obsess and I don't have time for it right now...

I did watch ZL. I loved the movie and I thought the pilot was okay... It seems to be getting a lot of hate around the web. It probably won't make it.

HG seems to be getting lukewarm reviews too. I didn't give it much thought because it looked like one of those sexy teen vampire/werewolf things. BUT, yesterday I was desperate to avoid doing schoolwork so I watched the first episode. I figured it would be good for laugh...

...I finally went to bed seven episodes later. It isn't what I expected and I thought it was fairly entertaining. Also, I have a thing for Famke Janssen and Kandyse McClure. I hope they have a big, hot, sexy girl fight at some point in the series...

Anyways, without getting too spoilery, what do you guys think of these shows, and the idea of Web services making shows in general?

Is cable and network tv dead?

Okay.... so, I finished this series (in for a penny and all)...

And I gotta say, it started dragging and getting a bit too' teen soap' for me about mid-way through.

Still, I pushed on and I was rewarded with the silliest ending evar!!!1!

I won't spoil it, but man.... I actually laughed out loud. There's not enough face palm in the universe to cover the climatic fight scene.
