Has anyone seen a film called Motorama? It's about a 10 year old boy named Gus who lives with his abusive parents but he collects money, trades it in for bills and steals his dad's car to go on a roap trip. He meets crazy people on the trip and becomes obsessed with collecting MOTORAMA cards from these gas stations. If he gets the cards he needs, then he can win a grand prize. The boy also seems to have a few Aspie traits here and there. More info:

Just the whole collecting of the cards and driving through non-existant states and meeting weird people in general parts. The end part is also great because it ends on such a monotone note.

the first time I watched the movie I saw it with about other 10-15 people, at that time I was in university and lived in a campus building, and there we where, all silent, eyes fixed on the screen, watching a kid going through that... :P

I just noticed that that happened about 12 years ago! time flies 8O
