Is Goren an aspie? I love that show and especially when Goren is in it. Not exactly a role model but I do admire the guy!

not an aspie at all. he reads people too well. I like him on that show, too.

Unfortunately, this is a format I am not used to. I wanted to include "not an aspie at all". I wrote it down but submitted before clicking where I should have clicked!

I was diagnosed with Asperger's. I (see "misdiagnosis" thread.) I am able to "read" people. However, it is all intellectual and not intuitive. For example, when playing poker,I listen for the "click". People make the clicking sound,shake their heads in a dissapointed fashion when they have a GOOD hand. Do not bet against them when they make the click!! !!
I have learned to accept my diagnosis. However, as the thread "misdiagnosis" revealed to me, one does not have to have (taking everything literally for example) ALL the traits of Asperger's to be an aspie!

I recall a fairly early episode in which the perp of the week was a serial killer, a disposal man for the Mob (IIRC) who had both AS and OCD - everything had to be in groups of five, arranged in a sort of lopsided pentagon (that's how they figured out it was him and caught him - plotting the disposal sites of the bodies, they found those arranged in the same lopsided pentagon, and caught him disposing of the next body).

After their initial interview with the suspect, Goren's partner said to him, "I didn't know you had an older, creepier brother."

Is Sheldon from "the big bang theory" an aspie?

I don't see anything about the Goren character that would make me think that he is an Aspie.

Vincent D'Nofrio, who played Goren, has in fact been diagnosed with Asperger's.
