Did you watch it? Very good surprise at the end!

Do you mean Raj being able to now talk to women without booze or was there something I missed?

Yes. I'm really curious to see where do the writers take him from here.

I liked Lucy, though.

Yes, she was sweet. Maybe we haven't seen the last of her. :)

It sure looks that way! 8O

Can't wait for Season 7!

Now that Raj is no longer pathologically shy, I think the next season has to be the last. They're running out of places to go with the characters.

I agree. While I still like the series, they're running into a dead end.
Jokes about Sheldon's inappropriate behavior? I think he has improved a lot.
Leonard having a crush on Penny? They're a couple.
Penny being promiscuous? See above.
Howard being a "horny engineer"? He's married.
Now Raj...

I can't relate to the characters so much any more. Even Sheldon is in an "ordinary" relationship. He's already having virtual coitus in D&D.

I'm only just over half way through the series (the last episode I watched was the one where Leonard "moves in" with Penny and Howard and Raj buy a 3D printer). E4 leave a big gap in the middle of the series so they can spread "new episodes" out over more of the year.

That was the big season finale?!?!?!
As a fan and defender of the show, I'm more than a little disappointed.

Exactly. They aren't relatable anymore. But I guess that's just good for them, building a happy ending. It's a sit-com, so it's natural.

My guess, it will start to stink before it ends - the ratings (and thus the profits) right now are too good for the producers and CBS to simply end it because character development is at a dead end. Besides, they've still got at least one major potential plot thread to work through, that they could easily drag out for another season or longer - that being Penny getting over her commitment issues and finally marrying Leonard. Sheldon and Amy will probably finally get intimate at some point but they'll probably drag that on a while longer, and they've also opened it up now for Raj to get into a lot more dating situations now and have lots of bad luck on that end. Between that, Sheldon's on-again/off-again rivalry with Kwipki (and Wil Wheaton), plus a lot of other possibilities that I'm sure I haven't thought of yet, it could easily last several more years, just not be very good.

Unless some of the major characters leave, expect it to continue. I wouldn't be too surprised if they introduce a new character or two.

Sheldon already stated that this was "not excluded", so they kinda have to do it. But after that, the show will be over.

IDK man. Two and a half men was so humorless from season 1, has seen its showrunner leave, and next season will see another main character leave.
Yet they're at season 11. And it's from the same creators.

Exactly!

They have a great premise for a sitcom, but the writing is so cliché, that it hurts sometimes. I still watch it, but I'm aware that in terms of writing it's crap. I share the horror that Larry David has to "writer rooms", where they turn something original into a standard, easily digestible, product. As the saying goes: "A camel is a horse drawn by a committee."
