Tim Burton did three of these:

Corpse Bride
Frankenweenie

All good.

I grew up with stop-motion-action monsters in the horror and sci-fi movies I used to watch as a kid - of course I appreciate stop-motion-action!

Vsauce3 has a video sub-series called "Fact Surgery", in which video game consoles disassemble themselves while revealing trivia about themselves. [LINK]

Also, I made this thread for Fan-Made Lego Movies HERE.

This thread being on Wrong Planet, I'm surprised there's been no mention of Mary & Max yet. Such a beautiful film.

Back in high school, I made a stop motion video with Legos or what is known as a 'Brickmation'. It is about racers having a race on a road and causing all kinds of mayhem and destruction all while trying to destroy each other and evading a police car. It wound up being a touch over 4 minutes long, which is still a record there to this day. :) Still haven't finished it, need to put in all of the sound, but someday I'll get it done.

Coraline, ParaNorman, and The Boxtrolls were all produced by the same animation company that is based in Oregon.

When I rented a copy of Fantastic Mr. Fox, my mom was understandably surprised that George Clooney was the voice of Mr. Fox.

My sister, a stop-motion fan herself, got me hooked on stop-motion animation after she bought a cheap DVD copy of Aardman Animation's short films.

If you feel like cutting corners, maybe you can make it a silent film. Just add music instead of sound effects, add silent movie captions, make everything black-and-white, and you're done!
