I saw an episode on the BBC last night. Not sure about this one. I want to enjoy it, but I thought most of the jokes were a bit too 'forced' somehow, and I have trouble feeling sympathy for the protagonist.

I see reflections of 'All In The Family' in this show, in the sense that you have this conservative patriarchal character at the center, and his dimwitted pushover son-in-law (to be). The episode I focused did not focus on the other characters (mother and the 2 daughters), so I can't assess how they end up looking or are characterised, but anyway. Anyone see this, enjoying it, et cetera et cetera? It's cool to see a British sitcom with South Asian actors that focuses on Pakistanis instead of Indians for a change.
