If you had the money to buy rights to show any TV series from any era, and you started your own TV stream, like on the web, what shows will you pick or produce to fill your schedule? Also. what will you call your very own TV channel?

I need ideas of my own too. I can't think of too many right now.

Sci/Fi series
English/Black humour series
Good old Xena and Hercules series out of nostalgia reasons. ^^
Earnest Manga/Anime (so no Yugioh/Beyblade/Pokemon/Kickers-stuff but Akira, Ghost in the Shell, ...)
Classic european novel based kids cartoons
scientific documentaries (history, biology, geological, physical, ...)
Niche films depending on actors instead of action.
Classic films

Name: "No sh***y soaps - TV"?

My channel would be 100% commercial-free, and here's some of the shows I'd put on it...

Smallville
The Cosby Show
Knight Rider (1982)
Person of Interest
Agents of SHIELD
Beauty and the Beast (2012)
Animaniacs
Pinky and the Brain
Quantum Leap
Spider-Man: The Animated Series
Superman: The Animated Series
Batman: The Animated Series
Batman Beyond
The Mentalist
Law & Order (original series)
Home Improvement

I'm not sure what I'd call it. A partial list, what occurs to me now, I may think of more later:

Classic movies (pre 1960s)
Not-So-Classic movies (pre 1960s)
All ten seasons of MST3K
Old B&W TV shows that most stations won't air (except MeTV, but I'd do even more obscure shows like Nick at Night used to run -- Life of Riley, My Little Margie, etc.)
Lost in Space
Arrested Development
Kolchak (original series)
The Carol Burnett show (the full hour, as originally aired)
Soap
Flintstones/Jetsons/LooneyTunes
The Addams Family
British sitcoms
Life on Mars
Ashes to Ashes
Dr. Who
SCTV

My TV Channel would air shows that aren't in reruns anymore and shows we grew up with between 80s and mid 00s either animated or live action. An anime block. A Saturday Morning Cartoon Block. Little to no censorship. Airing stuff from old cartoons to pilots and episodes of cartoons that were banned from TV while providing a fact-up history lesson on why. Sketch comedies will find a home here. Also airing cartoon pilots that never made it to being a full series. There will be stoner toons too. A lot of potential here.

If I had my own channel, I'd make it the Turner Classic Movies of cult films, grindhouse features, and b-movies from the fifties to around the late eighties. I'd show...

Bruceploitation- Movies with Bruce Lee impersonators.
Slasher films- Duh.
Kaiju- Japanese monster movies, like the Showa and early Heisei Godzilla series. Perfect for Saturday mornings.
Carsploitation- Movies that you only watch for the car chases.
Giallo- Italian murder-mystery/psychological thriller films. Dario Argento is the master of this genre.
Polizioteschi- Italian "cops and robbers" movies.
Cannon (Golan+Globus) films- The schlock factory that brought us Chuck Norris.
Sexploitation- But only very late at night, on a special block.
Macaroni combat- Italian war movies, usually set in World War II.
Spaghetti westerns
Blaxploitation
Rape and Revenge- Again, given the subject matter, these will be shown very late at night.
Video Nasties- This includes films like Cannibal Holocaust and Faces of Death. No kids allowed.

I think a good title for it would be 42 Grind Street. In between films, I would appear to segue into the next movie.

I was thinking that for my channel (Beavis and Butthead anyway). The M stands for Music which is ironic because I don't think MTV plays Music Videos anymore. It's all crappy reality TV.

On top of Beavis and Butthead, I could get the older episodes remastered and restored to their original format without the censorship.
