Second star trek thread in 2 days but its to be expected since this is my 3-4 time watching all the series in order. Ive noticed that many of the things data says are eerily familiar. In S03E05 Jeremy Astor's Mother dies and Data asks what bearing familiarity has on mourning and grief, then there are the many occasions where he must cognitively assess a joke in order to appreciate it (Geordi La Forge's "now lets see you try that in Hyperspace" joke) there are many more examples but im staving off going to bed which will be to my detriment no doubt tomorrow.

Data is truely the perfect teacher of humanity, I often find myself wondering what on earth is Riker talking about, or the others and then lovely Data do not understand either, and so we both get the explernations!

Every one that has seen the episode Data's Day can not do other than both cry and laugh, because it just gets so close...

I often show that episode to the new staff coming to my home, it usually cools those down, that has never heard about autism, before being put onto me.
