and why:
1) The Prevalence of "Strong AI" (hosts such as Maeve / Dolores) in the show is a sign predicting what is going to have been eventually achieved by humanity. The vast majority of scholars are dead set that the day of us inventing a Strong AI ( that is, a software with consciousness) will come someday during this century. Even Stephen Hawking himself warned about this and essentially said that creating such an AI is basically making a God, without knowing whether he'll be good to us or not.
2) Knowledge is power: Westworld collects all the brain data of their guests without asking for permission. Sounds familiar? even now companies such as FB and Google do that, and they store it (recall the FB scandal recently?) whether you like it or not in their own "forge".
We all have this coming.
