Fantastic, I'm glad it's not just me who knows about this film. This brutally honest and highly evocative film certainly educated me on the atrocities certainly girls experienced in Ireland way back when. Last time I saw it, BBC Two were airing it. It was compelling viewing.

You should also watch Philomena. In it the woman wasn't even allowed medication to ease the pain of childbirth. Those places used to send babies off or murder them.
