Mike Nichols died Wednesday night. Condolences to his wife, Diane Sawyer, and his family.

?There?s nothing better than discovering, to your own astonishment, what you?re meant to do,? he once said. ?It?s like falling in love.? (Mike Nichols)

I've seen a few of his movies: Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, The Graduate, Catch-22, and Wolf.

Not my favorites, to be honest, but very well done nonetheless. I had no idea he was married to Diane Sawyer.

I concede I had been totally ignorant of the fact that he had directed The Birdcage when he was still alive. That's also the only one of his movies that I know of seeing. RIP.
