For Christmas I was given a small HD TV for my bedroom along with a PS3 (which plays blu-ray movies). So since I heard that blu-ray movies were so much better than DVDs on an HD TV I bought both Kill Bill volume 1 and 2 for blu-ray and watched them and I was really impressed with the quality of the movies. I decided to get more blu-ray movies in the future, but sadly not every movie is available on blu-ray yet including some of my favorites. So what are some movies you would like to see on blu-ray some day?

I would love to see The Addams Family and Addams Family Values on blu-ray because they are some of my favorite movies of all time next to Kill Bill. I would also love to see Tom Savini's remake of Night of the Living Dead. :)

I want Battle Royal on Blu-Ray. Unfortunately I don't think it exists. :(

Wow that's a lot. I'm only after the best of the best! Trying to get all my favorites on Blu-Ray (will total about 10 so far) and hoping they don't bring out some fancy new video format that will ruin my collection.

rather than invest in a new format like blue ray, i'd rather that somebody develop ways to squeeze more reality and resolution into the existing DVD format. it can be done, microsoft did it but they lost in the marketplace. phillips has an interesting video enhancer called "pixel-plus" which is an intelligent pixel-by-pixel multiplier [not mere line multipliers like other upconverting video formats] which with the right program material makes regular DVDs look nigh well like hidef. they should put that feature into DVD players so that any hidef TV could display the enhanced detail on any standard DVD. this technology could even be used to upconvert and enhance older NTSC video recordings made before hidef. now many old videotapes are languishing in storage that could be rescued and brought into the digital age this way? i'd love to see something like "the electric grandmother" rescued and reissued in some kind of higher-definition format or pixel-plus upconverted format.

Makes no difference to me. I have a blu-ray player and somehow most of the movies I want are cheaper on blu-ray than dvd.

I want an upconversion of "laugh in" done via the pixel-plus process. those old 400+ line resolution Quad videotapes had enough raw material to upconvert nicely.

Like so many Disney fans my age, I want a U.S. release for "Aladdin" on Blu-Ray. Christmas 2012 was the film's 20th anniversary, but the suits decided to go with "Peter Pan" in February 2013. Now, its over a year later, and still nothing. "The Jungle Book" just hit about 2 weeks ago, and the next one scheduled is a re-release of "Sleeping Beauty", which already had a Blu-Ray debut in 2008!

Here's a list of other films I like, that still haven't been put on Blu-Ray yet...

Angels in the Outfield (1994)
Bicentennial Man
Blast From the Past
Double Jeopardy
Flight of the Navigator
Ghosts of Mississippi
Hercules (Disney)
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
Inspector Gadget (1999)
Jungle 2 Jungle
The Karate Kid, Part III
The Majestic
Mr. Holland's Opus
Multiplicity
The Next Karate Kid
October Sky
Out to Sea (1998)
Patch Adams
The Prince of Egypt
Sabrina (1995)
The Saint (1997)
Supergirl
Tarzan (1999)
The Three Musketeers (1993)
Timecop (solo release)
Tombstone
While You Were Sleeping
With Honors

I also want better transfers for the first two "Mission: Impossible" movies and a U.S. release for the UK Blu-Ray of the original "Highlander".
