flim noir?

I've recently resurrected an old, old fascination of mine with Peter Lorre. I have a sneaking suspicion I'll be learning a lot in the next, oh say two weeks, about film noir and Lorre's films in general. Any dyed-in-the-wool fans about who might know some good websites or resources for noir in general, or Lorre in particular? I'm in the sticks of Japan, so I won't be able to get my hands on anything that isn't funneled through my YahooBB connection.
