does anyone remember the tv series;dead like me?
if not,heres a catch up; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_like_me
what was everyones opinions of it?

am guessing theres going to be a lot of people who havent heard of it, offline;dont know one person other than self whose seen it let alone heard of it.
after being sat here watching it with self; one of the support staff went out and bought both seasons on dvd,she loves it.

watched it the first time around on uk tv [sky one?] and thought it was so awesome, heard it got very high viewer ratings in both US and UK but still got canceled by the showtime network after season two, always thought it was ahead of its time and shoud have gone on for far longer.
its funny how they swear so much on it,aparently they have more swearing in an episode than southpark.

recently.....aquired season one, season two and the movie [which sucks apart from murray the cat having a big presense,he gets carried around in a front facing baby carrier alot],wish they woud bring this series back to life,we had one original tv series killed off to early only for generic reality tv crap to replace it.

That's one of my favorites. :D It had such an excellent cast, and was smart and quirky. I didn't mind the fact that it only lasted two seasons. Too many shows drone on far too long, even if they had excellent starts. (Bones comes to mind).

Hi KoR, I watched it a long time ago and didn't like it. I think I got through the first season and stopped. Everyone seemed so depressed to me - the only one I liked was the woman who escaped. It's probably just me though, I'm really finicky about what I watch - haven't had a tv for years now, just every once in a while buy some cds to watch something.

I enjoyed the show. Rather, I enjoyed the storyline: a girl who hasn't really lived her life dies and becomes a grim reaper. That would be quite a job to have when you die!

I also remember having a crazy crush on Ellen Muth when it came out. I wonder what she is doing right now, or whether she is still acting.

definitely agreed on that-some producers never know when to kill it off [simpsons anyone?].

its just DLM ended without a proper ending, as far as the viewer of season two ending is concerned there is going to be another series. :? the network coud have at least funded an ending as the last episode started focusing on 'rube' if remember rightly but never got to show the 'death'.

had read that the 2009 DLM straight to dvd film was the make or break for bringing the series back; the film is shoddy [though DLM diehards woud love it] which is why the plans got shelved. :(

hi wozeree!
was the woman supposed to be playing one of the reapers or one of those who gets reaped? trying to remember which episode this was. :?
yes it is a low, morbid show and they went overboard sometimes like killing off some popular actors such as the animals [eg, JD the dog who is shown getting run over, murray the cat who is shown getting euthanised and the pet toad JF who is seemingly abandoned into the wild plus the young boy reaper who only goes around reaping animals],'rube' got killed off for the film so he was never in it etc.
it was depressive but had some very funny dark adult humour underneath.

totaly agreed charcoalsketches, the reaper idea is nice to think of,imagine if death is really is like that,a reaper comes along just before are about to die, they do their thing and are taken straight out of body upon death, had always wondered why the show never showed the actors being investigated for murder though as they were present at every death.

as for ellen muth, the support staff of mine whose become obsessed with DLM said that ellen has become a pro racing driver, am taking that to mean nascar but coud be wrong as havent got a clue about racing stuff.

woud honestly encourage everyone to aquire season one and season two of DLM, well worth it,cant believe it was never on mainstream tv in the UK,most people here missed out big time in own view.

That was one of the wittiest and funniest comedy series. I am sorry it did not last.

She was a reaper and she jumped into a light or something. I can't remember that much about it, watched it so long ago.
Now you're just making me want to give it another try. :D

I do love Mandy Pantikin - My name is Inugo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die!

I watched it years ago and I liked it very much. I remember wishing something like that happened to me. 8)

I quess I will watch it again. Since you remind me about it.
I wish any channel in Poland aired it but but it's not going to happen, never, ever. I will have to rely on online streams again. Oh, well. At least watching streams is legal in my country. :D

I don't know the series (probably never aired in the Netherlands... we suffer from the reality crap on tv too). I'm reminded a bit of the Death in the Discworld series of Terry Pratchett. There, only wizards and cats can see him generally.

Edit: I posted a picture, didn't work for some reason.
