Here in Poland, this comedy has a cult status, was shot in 1983, the film was partly a satire on the then prevailing socialist system in Poland, but somehow censor has given the green light and the film hit theaters.

I wonder if anyone in the West has seen this movie?
Although I know that the interest in the world Polish filmography is a small.

I wonder what was cut from it?

I bought this film, the reason that I bought it IS because it is Polish and I actively look for good Polish films to watch.
However, I cannot see why it has cult status as I am sorry to say I thought this film was rubbish, maybe England has such a good comedy history that even England itself can no longer match it, so we have been spoiled.

I would genuinely like to hear of good Polish films you can recommend.
