(Sigh) Comedy Central's loss will be CBS' gain.

I don't think so, he's got a very specific comedy genre (such as being full of himself) and I didn't like how he interacted with his guests. It's going to be weird and awkward. I tend to stick with john stewart

He should have stayed where he was, this is going to be a train wreck. Colbert is too smug to be a good talk show host.

CBS should have hired Conan.

I don't like this.

I can't see Colbert in his character there. Also, I can't see him having the freedom that he had with Comedy Central.

Besides, it's going to be hard to see the Colbert Report go.

But, maybe I'm wrong.

He only seems full of himself in character. The few times I have seen him being interviewed, once by Letterman himself, Colbert seemed very insecure about his appearance, Constantly readjusting his clothes, pulling his jacket, very self conscious of his physical appearance it seems when he is not behind a desk sitting down. I found him to be very fidgety when he was not in character. Who knows though, what his character really is and what is really him. I do like that the announcement made Rush Limbaugh come completely unglued.

Whatever, I won't be watching. Johnny Carson was the last late-night guy I liked. He had class, and while he had some great running skits the show wasn't all about him waving his personality in your face. From what I've seen the various late shows have all been racing downhill ever since he retired.

Also, you kids get off my lawn!

I think Stephen Colbert will do just fine as the new host of the Late Show, but maybe CBS should have hired Jay Leno.
