Back when I was just a lass (1970's), I enjoyed DR. WHO starring Jon Pertwee and later Tom Baker. WELL!! ! Let me tell you, I NEVER saw the modern Dr. Who's until this past weekend - now, that's a lot of years gone by. The opening theme to 2005 Dr. Who BLEW MY MIND!! !! The art, the music, sound effects - EXCELLENT. I feel like I was reborn. :D

It's excellent! Have you seen the ones with David Tennant yet? Incredible! Matt Smith is also a very good Doctor and now I'm looking forward to Capaldi! I have yet to watch all of the classic series (working on that though, eheh)

Oh you'll love it :D

9th and 11th Doctors were good, but David Tennants will forever be person I think of as the Doctor.

Man I remember watching Doctor Who as a kid back in the 2000s, thouse were the days...

You'd laugh at the very old ones! This show really evolved!! I'm 52 and I consider Jon Pertwee my pop-pop and Tom Baker my dad. Paul Mcgann's pretty buff too!! :) You can see who they are by going onto youtube and looking up 50th anniversary of the opening themes. If you watch the whole thing, you'll meet all the doctors and you might want to watch part 2 (?) - if you have a long attention span. You'll see stark differences between the old and new episodes except for the Roses. All were and are beautiful. I wish I could be a Rose in real life traveling with a time lord. As old as I am now - it's still my wish.

I've never watched the old series, but just recently watched "The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot"... that was really good :)

Also, the Tenth is my favourite, but I think Capaldi will be great too.

A few weeks ago I bought a box set of series 1-4 of the new Doctor Who and I've been watching them. I'm up to David Tennant's first episode as the Doctor. Matt Smith is my absolute favourite but I think Peter Capaldi will be good too.

I'm only a fan of doctors 2-5. The new doctor who series annoys me because it is popular.

Christopher Ecclestone and David Tennant's tenures as Dr Who are pretty good. Matt Smith's period is a little ropey -- speaking from experience, I warn you to start taking notes as Steven Moffat's saga spans a looong time, and pre-requisite knowledge is required for each of his series finales.

I've got my fingers crossed that Peter Calpradi's tenure starting this autumn dials back on the self-referencing/meta-physical stuff Moffat's so fond of. And heavens above, I'm begging for new assistant Clara to be humanised, but you'll see what I mean.

Enjoy it, it's fun :)

I always watch the new Doctor. Who. I like the first Doctor. My favorite episode is called " Let's Kill Hitler".

I love Doctor Who, from the old series to the new series, to the audio dramas, to the comic books. My favorite Doctor is by far Tom Baker. I started with the new series, but once I saw Tom Baker he became my favorite pretty fast.

Matt isn't my favorite Doctor, but he is in my top 3. I'm very excited he's going to be in the new Terminator trilogy.
