I don't usually like films that remind me of that period of my life, but if I had to choose one it would probably be Gregory's Girl.
I keep meaning to watch The Last Picture Show at some point too.

Indie film from last year in which two boys meet a crook named Mud who tells them that he's on the run after killing another guy.
