Does anyone watch Dogtv? It is a channel on Directv.

Articles about it say that dogs are not that into it (it is a channel for people to leave on for their dogs when the people are not home). One of my three cats watches it. I like it because it has no commercials and has a lot of nature scenes.

i've never heard of it. no directtv for us.

of course dogs aren't into it, i'm no expert but i really don't think they're going to sit glued in front of the telly like us humans do.
what exactly do they show?

They show nature scenes and animals of all kinds. They have some artsy parts. It is almost like a music video. They play relaxing and energetic music. There are a lot of dogs but also birds, rhinos, zebras, aquatic scenes. It appears to be videos from around the world, maybe Egypt, Turkey, Europe, America. There are dogs being walked on city sidewalks and dogs running free in the country.

An article I read said that dogs are not very visual and that "smell-o-vision" would have been more to dogs' liking.

Most articles concluded that the channel was to ease dog owners' guilt for not being home. One of my cats likes to watch it. I find it relaxing except for the arty part and when when people are talking.
