I love watching re-runs of the Donna Reed Show!

Donna Reed is a very attractive housewife who is strong willed and independent, yet she knows her place.She doesn't mind staying in the home and being a loyal wife and mother, rather than going off to work and raising latch key children. That is probably why Mary and Jeff don't end up suicidal or shooting up school classmates. She is a good wife and mother. The show has a sense of morality that is missing from today's television programming. And also, polite teenagers!

This show is like a nice vortex back in time to the good 'ol days. Other old shows I enjoy:
Mister Ed, Mama's Family, Father Knows Best, Leave It To Beaver, Dennis The Menace, and Dick Van Dyke!
Classic TV was so much more creative.

Yep...I like classic TV as well, including Donna Reed.

But, probably, the real Donna Reeds of the world felt stymied; that's why there was Woman's Lib. Women wanted to be able to make money outside the home, too, and to have a voice in what's happening in their communities. They wanted to stop being the "woman behind the man." They wanted to be the "man," too--for they knew they were human, after all.

Not that I advocate the "radical feminism"--which claims that a "Patriarchy" still exists, and that men, inevitably, will oppress women.

I think radical feminism is actually the most divisive and sexist ploy ever created. The fact that a woman has to work or be just like a man is really not true. There is nothing wrong with women staying in the home and raising children correctly. God gave men and women different strengths and weaknesses. We are equal as humans, but not always in our abilities.
