I been reading a little about these characters due to the fact that they will have a movie in the near future. I came across something a little strange. The characters Black Bolt and Medusa are suppose to be a married couple right but I also read they are cousins. Is that true? I did read that they might be distant cousins but my next question would be what's the difference between cousins and distance cousins? Does being distant mean you're not blood related and that it's not immoral to pork each other? I also read that they're son was engaged to be married to Quicksilver and Crystal's daughter but aren't Medusa and Crystal sisters? Is this how the movie is gonna go because I don't see Disney putting their name to a movie with incest. I mean I'm probably wrong about all of this and that's why I'm asking.

The main inhumans are the royal family of Attilian. It is not uncommon for royals to interbreed in real life, especially at a cousin level. Also, the inhumans get their powers via terrigenesis. This is a very dangerous, hit & miss kind of process. So, they use selective breeding to help ensure that the process is more successful. Black Bolt and Medusa are products of and participants in Attilian's selective breeding program.
