Wow! I gotta say, I was truly surprised...

First, I was shocked at the revelations about Sara/Black Canary's murder. Merlin is one cold, ruthless bastard. Still I cannot believe that his *actual* plan was to manipulate Ollie into killing Ra's al Ghul. I mean Merlin had to know that Ollie could never kill Ra's... It wasn't even a fight. Ra's was playing with Ollie the way a cat plays with a field mouse before eating it. Something else is happening here.

Also, I have to think that with the intro of Ra's, the show is turning a corner. Ra's said that he last duel he fought was like, 67 years ago. This certainly implies superpowers/supernatural elements.

After getting a sword through the torso and being kicked off a cliff Ollie has to be dead. That means... LAZARUS PIT!

It seems to me that Arrow is headed toward full comic book show status.

Apparently, Ollie will be 'dead' for at least an episode or two, and he might be gone from Starling City for longer...

Coming back from the dead, especially via the Lazarus Pit, is going to be extremely transformative and should take some time.

I think we're going to see Roy, Laural, Ted, and Ray step up to fill the void as a kind of Justice Society while Ollie is away.

I know a lot of people are saying that Laural cannot become Black Canary anytime soon because she hasn't trained enough... but I'd like to point out that in season 1&2 she was shown to have a bit of fighting ability. She actually 'one-punched' a few thugs. So, she's not starting from square one. Also, I'd think she might get a bit of help from Ray Palmer in the form of a few 'toys' to help her out...

Anyway, what do you guys think?

Is Ollie really dead?

Are we going to see the Lazarus Pit?

Are we going to get a Justice Society (Red Arrow, Black Canary, Wild Cat, and the Atom) in Starling City while Ollie is away?

What is Merlin really up to pitting Ollie against Ra's al Ghul?

I keep wanting to think that they'll do something "out of the box" and let the series really take a turn, but there's no way that they'll let their main character die. It tales a lot of the suspense out of it for me since I know he'll be ok. That said, it has to be the Lazarus pit. it's the only thing that makes sense. I do kind of hope that they keep up the gag and let him be dead for a while though and see what the team does. This could be the moment when Laurel steps up, or it could be more of her epic comedic failure as a hero. Honestly, I hope the latter! Hahahah

^^^ Yeah... I think you're definitely gonna get to see Laural suit-up and get her ass kicked repeatedly in the near future.

The producers have already said as much...

I'm still not sure how they'll handle Ollie's death. The Lazarus Pit does seem inevitable. Some people are saying that it isn't clear that Oliver is dead, but IT SEEMS pretty clear to me.

I just hope there's complications. I'd like to see Oliver out of commission for the balance of the last half of the season. Even with the Lazarus Pit, death shouldn't be something you 'walk off' in a week or two.

This is a pretty interesting vid on what to expect from the last half of the season... It looks pretty interesting. Seems like we'll get a sort of 'Black Canary: Year One' with Laural.

I know a lot of people like to hate on Laural, but I like her and I've been waiting to see her as BC for 2+ years now! I say bring it on! Also, I hope she brings Wildcat out of retirement. I wanna see some Cat/Canary action!
