I watched Sleepaway Camp last night. What a difficult movie to find! But it was worth it, I really liked it.

That movie disturbed me.

It says something about my movie watching habits, but I didn't find it disturbing. I can see how some people would though, it's just that I've seen a lot worse. I really liked the story and the whole setup though. It was well done.

I love disturbing movies too. But my interest in them went to such twisted places that it's hard to find anything that disturbs me anymore in movies.

Sleepaway Camp was quite funny. I'm debating on watching the 2nd and 3rd movies or not.

recently I saw Blue Velvet and it was tribute to Dennis Hopper.
it was more like an erotic thriller.
I thought it was good.

I've seen Irreversible and Salo. Those affected me.

Grbavica - Land of Dreams. It's pretty good.

"Get Him To The Greek"
It was way over the top and not nearly as funny as other Apatow flicks. It relied far too much on Brand's singing voice, which is passable, but nothing special. The message was ok, but nothing one couldn't see coming from the beginning.

Not that it didn't have its moments. The fuzzy wall rubbing was hilarious.

I just saw "All About Steve" via Comcast On Demand. It was good, well I thought so anyway. Has anyone else seen this movie? I'm asking because I think Sandra Bullock's character, Mary, may have been an aspie. Her character, people, not the actress! Relax. For some reason I found myself relating to the main character and finding love, mainly because it reminded me of something I went through back when I was 17 years old. What really made this good was the fact that I actually laughed most of the time, so in a way, I was looking back at said past event that I went through a decade ago and laughing. Of course, only in a movie would a friend of the guy she liked actually point out that the main character wasn't the crazy psycho, the guy she liked, portrayed by Bradley Cooper, was actually being the crazy psycho....damn movie world!

Of course given that the main character in the movie has or possibly has AS, Sandra Bullock of course ended up getting a razzie for worst actress. While the movie clearly wasn't meant to be Golden Globe or Oscar-worthy material, it just bothers me that someone would get a razzie for worst actress just for portraying an aspie character. Stupid NTs.
