The Irony of Fate (Ирония судьбы) both 1 and 2

No. 1 was funny. I think it was, at least partly, a commentary on the uniformity of life in the Soviet Union
No. 2 was just bad. I think people only watched it for nostalgia 30 years later

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure

My NT sister and I are both huge fans of this film that is worthy of its status as a cult classic!

My $.02
Elle (French) - Kinda weak in terms of the story. Acting was okay.
Forgotten (So. Korea) - Not bad. Couple of nice twists here and there.
The Ghost Writer (British) with Pierce Brosnan and Ewan McGregor - Okay. If you see it, cool. If not, no biggie.
The Guilty (Danish) - a film set mostly in one room and featuring mostly one actor mostly always on the phone. Watch this if you're in the mood for watching a flick with basically just one actor in it.
The Purity of Vengeance (Danish) - the third and final part of the Department Q Trilogy - More violent than the first two but also a little uneven in terms of the acting. The good guy really tried his best to make you not want to root for him.
The Unknown Girl (French) - More amateur-looking than I'd expected. Okay film, though.

Midsommar - Stay. Far. Away. Watch The Wickerman instead. All the lead actress did was cry and cry and cry and cry and cry through the whole f-ing film. VERY annoying.

I have heard good this about that film. I do like Greta Gerwig's skills as both a director and Actor. I also always enjoy her interviews.
