The Call
A good Halle Berry film.

The Square (2017) written and directed by Ruben Östlund

A Swedish production with co-production support from Germany, France and Denmark, the film was shot in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Berlin.

This is a movie that I enjoyed watching. These others are good for me too and have something in common: Under the Skin (2013) and the films of Yorgos Lanthimos.

Not that I go to theatres, what with my brain being the way it is, I watched "Operation Finale" on Netflix last night. It was about Israel's efforts to bring Adolf Eichmann to justice. He was in Buenos Aires & they needed to try him in Israel. It must have been a good movie, as it kept me off my iPhone & iPad for the most part.

I like this movie a lot.

The Black Sleep.

Late fifties B horror movie. A young doctor wrongly convicted of murder in 19th century England is saved from the gallows by his mentor from medical school with a concoction called the black sleep, which causes one to simulate death. He goes on to help in his mentor's experiments to further brain surgery.Only then does he realize that his mentor is a homicidal maniac experimenting on live subjects put into a deathlike state with the black sleep. A number of old time horror movie stars on the downswing of their careers were hired for this stinker, such as Basil Rathbone, Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney Jr, John Carradine, and Tor Johnson (well, Johnson never had had an upswing to his career).

I remember seeing it once in the 1990's, and I found it boring. I didn't recall much though and I might like it better now, so when it aired recently, I watched it.
Oh man, it was boring!!
In addition I can't get over how ridiculously old fashioned it was, it seemed like it was made in the 1950's or 1960's, very unlike both how my 90's were, and how other movies from the 90's are.
