Today was the big day: Rowan Atkinson would arrive here in Holland. Of course, I was first in line, and, after some 'fighting' with other photographers, I managed to shoot this picture:
Image
I think he's the most brilliant actor ever, and even here, with all the people fighting to get a picture, he kept acting as MrBean. Brilliant!

You actually took that picture?

Neat :)

He is one of the funniest comedians alive. Especially Blackadder. :D

My favorite thing he has done is his stage performance show. Its not quite standup, not quite variety. It is hilarious though.

A yes, the other pictures are as ugly as this one is brilliant imo. It was hard :) but it's more than worth it. I've seen almost all his work, and so this was really important, to at least see him once!

So are you going to see Mr Bean's Holiday, then? I am a little sad that it is the last Bean film he wants to make, but everything good can't last forever, eh? Do you have a particular favorite of his movies, or do you like them all equally? I love them all, but I am especially fond of Blackadder, and I really liked some of his bits in Johnny English.

This movie appears to be actually some kind of 'redo' on the former, Rowan thought MrBean talked too much in the other movie
Blackadder is his best I think, though some of his sketches in Not the Nine O'Clock News are also very, very good. And Johnny English is also a favourite, MrBean... everything he´s done is just brilliant :D

Oh, yes, Rowan Atkinson is absolutely brilliant. I can't ever NOT laugh when he is on screen, even if he isn't saying something. So did you actually get to talk to him, or just snap his picture? I haven't been close to one of my favorite celebrities to snap a picture so I am insanely jealous---although I might have made a spectacle of myself there, as the crowd looked very chaotic. That's really cool, though.

mr bean/blackadder!! !! ! so great!

one of my friends in high school sampled his stand up/stage show(it was more of a mime act at various parts) for one of his songs. well...he used a clip before their song started...it was a popular thing to do with ska records in the mid 90s.

"as for his family, they are quite simply the most intolerable herd of steaming social animals i've ever had the misfortune of turning my nose up to. i spurn you as i would spurn a rabid dog."

which is, of course, from rowan doing the drunken wedding reception speech. he really is amazing.

it's kinda stand up in the comedic nature of the performance but it's done in vignettes and some of it is mr bean style miming while other parts weren't....i wish i could find it on video.

No chance talking there, I´m happy I´ve managed to get some photos, but even the media, that were much prepared for interviewing him, couldn´t get to talk to him. Not that he as MrBean would ever give a proper interview
