Ghost in the Shell. Might even be my favorite of any film...

That one and Cowboy Bebop The Movie are my faves... Not to mention, the only anime movies I've seen.
I'd say Shirow Masamune is right up there with Bradbury & Asimov.

It's a tie from Princess Mononoke and Castle in the Sky too. Not only my favorites anime films, but my favorites movies!

Akira is a great movie, but I don't think it's very "healthy" to watch it regulary with all it's violence and body horror.
