Another one of my late night discussions. :-P

Phantom of the Opera. Ranks up there just below Star Trek as one of my favorite things in existence. Sometimes I feel like the ugly face is my Aspergers, and the mask is my awfully poor attempt at covering it up. Not to mention being in Christine's friendzone. You can sit there and call me gay for being a dude who likes musicals and fawning over the love story, but this musical speaks to me on so many levels. And now that I've found a place where I can express myself freely, I thought I'd take a moment to slip off the mask and share this.

Comment if you agree. :-)

Awww, that's good----I'm glad you felt comfortable, enough, to share it!!

I don't share your interest in PotO, but I can totally understand why / how you can relate, to it.

I liked the book, but have only seen the 2004 movie. I did have the Sarah Brightman soundtrack on a mp3 once.
(I enjoyed this youtube review, which went on a bit about other adaptions.)

Mah. The movie wasn't my favorite. Gerard Butler sounds like he's singing out of his nose. You should give the 25th Anniversary stage version a try. It's out on DVD, and it's AMAZING!

I'm reading the book for the first time as we speak. :-)

Yes, isn't it nice to be able to express yourself without anyone calling you an @sshole?
