http://www.avclub.com/article/sony-also ... men-216309 - Brace yourselves. There will also be an all-male Ghostbusters reboot alongside the all-female one. :D Even though we already had this in the original incarnation, it's nice to see this one done in the interest of equality. :D

It says that it stars the original caste. So, doesn't that mean that it's a sequel to the original 2 films (i.e. a Ghostbusters 3) rather than a reboot? That makes me wonder whether the other film with the all-female caste is really a reboot or whether it's a spin-off from the main franchise. The article suggests that they both happen in the same universe.

It was mentioned in another article that a future Ghostbusters movie will be combining both male & female Ghostbusters together like The Avengers.

I'm honestly confused about the "All-male" tag that's being discussed everywhere. I don't mean to get political at all, I understand that it's a tense issue, but I don't recall ever seeing Reitman/Aykroyd/Ghostcorps mentioning that the cast would be exclusively men -- just that two are being considered. It really seems like the All-male bit was added (and later redacted) by Deadspin. I could be wrong though.

Anyway, Ghostbusters is probably my favorite movie of all time. I was supportive of the Paul Feig production, I'm supportive of this one. It's a shame that so much negativity is swirling around a silly movie that I've wished for since I was five. :\
