I watched it and liked it at first but found after the first series it became more and more a caricature of itself which put me off.

i would agree the quality has suffered, especially the last season. i think the writers read too many blogs/fanzines about their own show and it's made it all seem a little too on the nose and "self-aware". it's the same reason i stopped watching/reading game of thrones--well, it's one of the reasons. the unnecessarily gratuitous violence and sex contributed to that decision, too.

Before I first watched it, I thought that I was not going to like it. I surprised myself. I enjoyed it very much!

The stories can be fascinating, and the characters are full of personality. My favorite episode so far is the one about the HOUND.

It's fun to watch Sherlock on one of the german channels.
The german voice overs are hilarious. Brings a whole new dimension to the series.

I think Sherlock, and I don't mean just the present tv series but the original books, movies and previous series as well are a typically phenomenon.

Love the show and love Benedict's acting.

He is in Boston filming a movie. A couple weeks back my GF went into a Starbucks to get a coffee. He was right ahead of Her in line. She said He is super nice.

BBC just confirmed Season 4 for the UK, with a Christmas special opening: http://www.christiantoday.com/article/s ... /38635.htm

So, more coming it seems...

I love Sherlock so much! I was so ecstatic when I found out Benedict was going to play Kahn is Star Trek: Into Darkness.

I've seen a few episodes of the first season, those were great. I never got around watching the rest, though.

Also, it made the Smaug-Bilbo interaction more amusing to me, but not many people I know watch Sherlock, so my referencing to it was wasted.

Oh, I enjoy this show very much. I love the dialogue and the visuals of his observations.

And to think, Benedict Cumberbatch ALMOST said 'no' to the role! 8O

I am from Germany, so I know the German and the original voices (I have seen it in English, too). But when you know how they are supposed to speak (how the original voices sound) it just sounds so wrong to me to listen to the German voices. Furthermore it irritates me a lot the John Watson has the same German voice like Howard Wolowitz from "The Big Bang Theory".

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! I've always loved anything to do with the character Sherlock Holmes though, and I've read every work pertaining to him, so that might be why. The first episode in particular was mind blowing in my opinion though, and I was a bit upset when they scrapped the idea of on screen text to show you how Sherlock is making his deductions in real time as it were, so you could come to a conclusion with him.

Third season was... not so good. The last moment of the last episode actually made me roll my eyes, albeit reluctantly because I really love this show, and want it to continue being a success. I just really hope they haven't fallen into too deep a pit of narcissism to realise that convulated plots won't fly for long.
