Question about Mad Max Fury Road

I'm planning on seeing it this weekend but my question is do I need to watch the original movies first? I've never seen any of them.

Nope. Standalone movie, and it has voiceover narration explaining things to get newcomers up to speed anyway.

But I do recommend checking the others out, particularly the first two.

I haven't extensively seen any of the original movies in awhile and I was able to pickup on the story very quickly. Was a pretty good movie in my opinion and certainly worth seeing
