Come on I can't be alone here. They are total aspies. I saw under the myths of death note on wiki that it's not true-but the evidence was that it was never confirmed and I'm all like... "So?" Everything they do is aspie like. And I'm in love with them lol. I want to adopt Near and marry L. :)
Anyone else think this? Come on let's discuss people. :) P.S. Near playing with that strand of hair all the time is totally a stim.

i can not begin to understand your post. either you are incoherent or i am completely out of date.
i suspect i am out of date. i think i am out of date because i suspect you will get responses from people who completely know what you are talking about.

i neither understand the subject of your post nor the language used to convey it.

Yea it's a popular anime. L and Near are characters. Also I was kinda typing like a Cali girl lol whoops. I'm not usually like that at all.

Okay I'm cool with this being moved. I thought it might happen anyways. But I didn't realize my mistake till after I had posted it so I figured I would see what responses I'd get or what would happen.

No problem.
It's simply that this is a more appropriate forum for discussion of cartoon characters.

Yeah, it is commonly thought that L shares many traits that point him as being an aspie, the topic does tend to appear fairly often. Well L is usually placed as the stronger possibility, but Near's toy thing does seem to point him too. Although from what I hear the author did not intend anything like that, I think that the Aspergers is really diagnosed in Japan, regardless L seems to have enough to pretty much diagnose home as one.

Death Note is the reason why asperger's became cool. :P

And there are some good points to that. ...And some bad. But also some good.

Aspie-like characters tend to be popping up in a lot more anime, even if it's not explicitly stated.

L is the earliest example I can think of, and more recently the protagonist of Watamote from this season.

Funnily enough I keep feeling that Tomoki is practically a female version of myself, just minus the perversion, probably. Her reaction to ordering food is basically how I would have reacted earlier, and yet people have been saying that it was just unrealistic.

I have also thought that both L and Near closely resembled people with Aspergers, or at least have Aspergers traits.
These traits are fitting for their roles in the series though, whether intended or not.
I love both characters too, especially L!

I've never thought about this, but I do see how they can be seen as aspies. On a side note I actually hate Near and Mello, they just felt like cheap replacements for L. I think L should have solved the case or no one should have.

L d solve it though, his only problem was getting evidence that others would believe.

I think that L and Near are very likely aspies. The ironic thing is that for a couple years, my friends have said that I act like L in many ways. I've only recently begun to suspect that I have AS.
