I was remembering Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya and Kyon's decision. It's kinda hard on me for some reason that the alternate Yuki that was created basically got snuffed out before she could really do anything, before we could really get to know her. Back to her humanoid interface self, Yuki mentioned in one later chapter that she could not guarantee that she would be around 10 years later; whereas, were she to remain in her human form, she could live something close to a normal human lifespan.
I guess that's where Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan is supposed to console us fans.
